This past week I finally had time to get back into the studio!! I didn’t realize how much I’ve needed it until I started throwing. Since ceramics is a job for me I often see it as something on my to-do list and forget that it’s also self-care. One of the biggest reasons I love creating is the uninterrupted time to think. As I started throwing I realized the amount of anxiety I was holding onto from this pandemic. I haven’t been significantly impacted by the pandemic but I was still feeling so many feels! Sitting in the stillness of my studio I could feel fear and anxiety about the future coming out. I could feel the pressure of comparing myself to others (Instagram 🙄). I could feel the loneliness of not seeing family and friends but also the overwhelming pressure to be social. To text, call, and facetime friends to just stay in touch (which as an introvert is not my strong suit). I could feel all the uncomfortable feelings I haven’t had time to work through coming out, but I am SO THANKFUL for the time to sit in it, feel it, pray about it and work it out!

So if you're feeling a lot of feels during this pandemic, you’re definitely not alone... I think we all are to some extent! Anxiety is thick in the air. But I do hope you make time to sit in the feels, pray about it, and work it out!
