Since I currently don’t have a space use the wheel, I’m working on making some molds to slip cast! It feels weird to be designing a mug like this rather than on the fly at the wheel #mugshotmonday

This year has been the year of change and anxiety! Like many, my anxiety has skyrocketed. I have experienced more anxiety this year than the past 3 years combined! But looking back I am proud that I did things to help myself, rather than wallowing in it like I have often done in the past. So, to my friends in the same boat this past year— counselors are great, medication helps, walks outside are life giving, and give it all to Jesus everyday.

ANYWAYS.. I haven’t been on top of posting all the changes happening this year. So, here’s what’s been going on with Kay Moz Ceramics:
- Covid cancelled all the craft fairs I was supposed to be in this year 😞which was very disappointing. Craft fairs are so much fun and how I sell most of my ceramics. BUT thankfully that gave me more time to accept some custom orders!
- I started grad school!!!! 🎉🎉 I just finished my first semester at LIU Post for my masters in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling. I’ve tried a lot of things since graduating with my BFA but this finally feels like home! Art therapy is the perfect mix of art and helping people, feelings and logic, creativity and structure. It’s a two-year degree so I have a year and a half to go! 🙂
- Dave and I moved into a new apartment! It has been so nice because it’s bigger, but a bit of a bummer because I had to give up my beloved back-room studio at our old apartment. I have studio space at LIU, so the plan is to use that, but I’ll have to wait for the school to reopen to use it 😞 In the mean time I have my entire studio smushed into the corner of our office 🤷🏻‍♀️
